This year, let's commemorate not just "The Fourth of July", but Independence Day! Come join us for small town-charm blended with world-class excellence in a three-day celebration of Family and Freedom!
Featured hosts, the acclaimed Hughes Brothers (The World’s Largest Performing Family, and TJEd homeschoolers!) are returning for another year of fabulous fun and entertainment, and this year we at TJEdOnline are collaborating, along with George Wythe University, Classic Books and Gifts and Face to Face with Greatness Seminars to provide a full program of workshops, activities, cultural events and performances, including the 4th of July parade and Fireworks!

This "Jeopardy"-style tournament will challenge 2-person teams of youth and/or adults to show their knowledge of America's founding documents and principles!

See live action portrayals of Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Sojourner Truth, Abigail Adams, Sacagawea, Ulysses Grant, the young George Washington and more!

Listen as youth portray a "Living Declaration"--a dramatic recitation of the entire text of the Declaration of Independence. You will never forget this moving tribute to Freedom and the universal human struggle for self-determination.

of "Foxfire" (a family-friendly drama about roots and values) at a
special rate of $60 for a family of 6*! Same deal applies to that
night's performance of "Comedy of Errors". Additional "bounceback"
discount of $5 off for those holding stubs for the Foxfire performance! *(This is available only to those aged six and older)

Come share your love for Shakespeare as a performer or a spectator while individuals, small groups and full casts deliver highlights from the works of The Bard.

Girls aged 6-13 (and their mothers, if desired) are invited to tea at the "Governor's Mansion" (Heritage Center) from 2-4 pm on Friday, July 3. Enjoy a formal tea experience with herbal teas and finger foods, dancing and teatime crafts in a playful setting perfectly suited for girls!

Friday, July 3, 2-4 pm at the Park, boys aged 6-13 are invited to a knightly quest, to save the princess from the invaders! Learn to defend truth and justice, family and community. Play swords and shields will be provided. The event culminates with a simulated battle and knighting ceremony.
Cost: $5, or included in All-inclusive Family Ticket

Whatever your talent, this is a chance for your family to shine. Your act can include one person or the whole family. The winners will receive a cash prize and an opportunity to perform in Branson, Missouri, the “Entertainment Capitol of the World.” All talent submissions must be family friendly. Here is where families compete against families no matter WHAT the age! The Hatfields and the McCoys would love this one! Stop by the Information Booth at Main Street Park and sign up your family.
Six family teams will compete in each Family Feud event at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily July 2, 3, & 4.
This family-friendly event will include the 2-Step, Polka, Waltz, Square Dance, Swing and of course, Line Dances! Don’t worry about knowing how. This will be a great chance to learn! The park will be a rockin’ and a hoppin’ with dance music that will be fun for the entire family. Check back for the exact date and time!

From 10am to 6pm each day of the Festival, be sure to spend some time at Main Street Park and enjoy lots of games, activities, free musical entertainment, Shakespeare scenes, food, and other concessions & exhibitors. On Saturday morning right after the parade, the Cedar City Lions Club will host carnival games that you don’t want to miss. Tickets for the 4th of July carnival games may be purchased at the park.

A world-class youth production of Shakespeare's King Lear (free!), live historical vignettes with actors portraying luminaries from American history, local and national musical performers, The Gliadkovsky Family of concert pianists, and of course, the world-renowned Hughes Brothers!
